The creature of blackness

Let us say that there was a large deep hole.
In that hole lived untold and unknown beings and creatures.
What lives below them is even further from what we can imagine.
The untold creatures live so deep in this hole that they do not see sunlight. They have never known that warming touch of sunlight on their face. They have never even known that beautiful glow of moonlight to reach their depth.
They are not creatures of the night, but creatures of blackness.
Perhaps they try to make their way up the steep walls of the hole, only to find themselves sliding back down.
Ah, but one day, one will reach the top.
Will that one be in such shock from being out of his accustomed surroundings that he will go on some murderous spree? Or, instead will he just bask in the sunlight so overcome by happiness as to not noticed the human creeping up upon him?
Who would raise their fist first, the creature from the hole or the human that comes upon him?
